I read a study done by a university and they say that they are lights from the highway. The only problem is that these lights were recorded before the invention of the automobile. So what's the answer?

And if so which ones would you suggest.

I might be interesting in one a little higher if it's worth the difference? What would be a good higher priced telescope.

Anyone that can accurately tell what happened 14.7 billion years ago could solve this simple little ole problem blindfolded and both hands bound.

When I say ideas I mean theories because what they think is as interesting as what their actually seeing. New discoveries create new ideas.

When NASA first started sending up astronauts, they quickly discovered that ballpoint pens would not work in zero gravity. To combat the problem,
NASA scientists spent a decade and $12 billion to develop a pen that writes in zero gravity, upside down, underwater, on almost any surface including glass and at temperatures ranging from below freezing to 300°C.

I just bought a Meade 10" LX50 f/10 and finally figured out how to polar align it and operate the Magellan II. I have 26mm eyepiece and a 6.4mm. I know the 6.4mm is good for planets but whats the best eyepeice for viewing Globular Clusters, and what's 26mm eyepiece best used for?

Ok,i'm looking for the best all rounded telescope,by all rounded I mean it can look at Planets just as good as it can look at deep space objects like, maybe the Andromeda Galaxy or other Star Clusters. The telescope can be a Newtonian,Refractor whatever,I do not care.So long as it does what it says in this post. Also the Telescope has to be under £1000 or $1000 whatever,so long as it is under that price,oh and it has to be a computerised one, that actually finds objects on it's own.

Anyone who can do this, will prove that they know more about Astronomy than anyone.

im sure some of you have heard about the mayan calendar and the accuracy involved in it. according to them the moon, earth and the sun are all suppose to align on the date which means that the north and south pole can be moved to another part of earth which could be a major disaster.

There are lots of satellites circling the earth. I'm wondering, do they have a "life span" before they start to fall. Could they all be made to fail at once, and by what, and if they did fail, would they bombard the earth or burn up in the atmosphere? A screenplay depends upon the right answer.
