Then think about it before asking.

The Sun is life to us.

No, let me rephrase that.

The Sun is LIFE to us.

All energy that was created on this planet over the millenia is still a "drop in the ocean" compared to the life-sustaining energy we receive every day.

Oh, sure, a few priveledged souls might be able to burrow underground and survive for a while, a few days, weeks, or even months, by using the Earth's internal heat, but plants and animals need the Sun, either directly or indirectly for food and water. How long would canned and preserved food last. No one could survive the extreme surface cold temperatures that would result to go run the generators to produce electricity.

You don't want a cruel answer? Then think it through. Quit thinking about the luxury of TV's and lamps and other electrical appliances. The Sun is LIFE to us.

I hate to say this... but wouldnt we be dead in a few days? i mean we need the sun to live like we need water because it would kill food etc. I think their would be caos at first but we would still be able to use what electricity we have left that isnt solar powered until it ran out like other stuff. I'd watch TV while dying lol. sounds a great way to go!"

Is that what you are thinking?...watching TV....I think our whole existence dependes on the presence of the Sun...so if the sun explodes you wont see TV...you know why ...because you are not there to watch TV...You are gone to the other end of life.

If the sun just went out we would be able to survive, we could just live off of nuclear power, we could grow plants with the same lights that we use in tanning salons so if the sun did blow up and not kill us we would still be able to survive

if the sun exploded it would fry up the earth.

but if we just suppose tht the earth survived those extreme conditions like fry and being kicked out of its orbit and other stuf....
even then we wont be able to watch tv or other thingz u said - cz the radiations from tht explosion will tranmit its energy to eletric appliances like tv,lamps, wires etc and tht would overheat and eventually melt it.

hope it helps

No. If the sun exploded, we would go with it. There would be no "we" to watch TV, etc.
