I saw a few from the "New Horizons venture, and they were awesome ! There's stuff out there that's just as pretty ,or prettier than our planet. The "eye". or "red spot" on Jupiter, which is supposed to be a storm, is the size of our planet! If everybody could see the pictures, it will make you think we spend our lives here on Earth worrying about trivial things!

Alright, i know there would be no oxygen in space, but what would happen if your took your space helmet off? how would trying to breath feel? Would you gasp for air? would you feel anything in your lungs? or would it feel like a plastic bag was put over your head?

As usual here in England with our typical minimalist and mean attiude towards things - the national debate at the moment that everyone is getting all fired up about is whether or not we should have rubbish collections once or twice a week! Plllllleeeease for crying out loud - where is our imagination and vision not to mention innovation. I always thought necessity was the mother of invention!

For a start - doesn't common sense dictate that from purely health reasons, it should damn well be picked up as quickly as possible - I don't care if it is in strong plastic wheely bins - tell that to the people of Anchorage, Alaska - they've got humping great grizzly bears to contend with - what chance do you think a wheely bin has against a bloody bear. Here in the UK we're not quite so extreme with our wildlife, but foxes all over the country and house martins as well in some parts of our wet little islands don't have a problem with wheely bins either I can assure you!

That we will be hit by an asteroid in 2039,and they are even pretty sure where on the planet it will hit(Northern or Southern Hemisphere,which side of the dateline,etc)then why dont they just tell us and let us go build somewhere else? Are they hoping by that year we will have the knowledge to change its course?..Or are they just being selfish and telling only their close confidants and letting the rest of us swing to avoid"panic"?
