do you mean tides? waves are created by wind brushing against the sea

gravitational pull of the moon pulls sea towards it creating high tides on one side of the planet and low tides on the other

high tide is when the moon rotates on the our side of the planet

low tide when it is round the other side

spring high tides are caused when the moon is at its closest position to the earth in a year

The moon does not influence waves. The gravitational interaction between the earth and the moon influences the tides.
