The conspiracy theories about NOT going to the moon? It amazes me how close minded these people are. They watch one TV show and that's it... They are convinced. Does this bug you as much as it does me?

I recently read that in 2005 three stars - KW Sagitarii, V354 Cephei, and KY Cygni were the largest stars we've yet found, each having radii at least 7 AUs (1500 x the size of the sun's). Are these still the biggest stars we've seen, is this information even remotely accurate, and if it isn't, what IS the largest star?

Why do we need to research space? Exploration? Manifest Destiny? Scientific discovery? Shouldn't the resources devoted to space be used toward other more practical uses? What do you think?

This may seem a silly question to you astronomer-types, but the other night I was watching some silly movie about there being a planet on the exact opposite side of the sun that rotates exactly like we do, so it's always on the opposite side.

How would we know? Have we ever sent a telescope/satellite to the other side, or perhaps while orbiting another planet we saw the other side?

Please, be kind lol, you are speaking to the truly ignorant :)
