I saw the film Event Horizon, and I have been asking the question ever since, would the black hole diminish the more power we drew from it, like our use of oil here on earth, or would we be using the forces a black hole creates instead? Answers in English please, if one single number shows up my eyes will cross and my brain shut down!

I use this for terrestrial view as well as for beginner austronomy use. I also use it for a lense on my SLR camera - terrestrial only as I don't have a clock drive.

I'd like to be able to get a clock drive for austronomical photography and viewing and realize that that will require an equatorial wedge or equatorial mount.

But I don't want to restrict my use to just astronomy. Its a great portable scope for a wide range of focal lengths for terrestrial viewing and I don't want to lose that.

I'm also wanting to have a mount with slow-motion cable adjustments.

I'd appreciate all the feedback I can get to help guide me here.

Scientists are daily discovering the formation of new galaxies and I wonder if any of them are beginning to rethink the Big Bang Theory.

In the Apollo 11 landing, one of the pictures shows a perfect footprint. How can this be if there’s no moister in the moon dust to hold the footprint?

I was wondering if anyone has ever come up with a formula to calculate the distance, and revolutions in "earth years", a planet would have to be from any given star given the radiation output of the star, the diameter of the star and giving the hypothetical planet the same mass and density of the Earth.

Just a random question, but an honest one. If our moon was destroyed or damaged (by, an asteroid, perhaps), what effect would that have on the Earth climate-wise, ocean-wise, etc.?

how can the universe be self-contained? It is mostly made of nothing anyway. Are the borders perceived as where matter has passed, or is it some other factor?

Im amazed people really beleive the moon landing really happened- its been proven fake- - What, were we more advanced in 1969 than we are in 2007?
Here are a few examples of proof the moon landing was fake
*The flag waved as if by a breeze- with no air on the moon, that should not have happened.
*A rocket cannot propel an obect in the vacume of space, with nothing to push against.
*With no atmosphere on the moon, the sky should have been filled with stars, but there were none...
*Interesting how the astronots were prefectly illuminated, the lights focused on them- as if they were on a SOUND STAGE
*If we had the ability to fly to the moon- why cant we go back? *If men had landed on the moon, the radiation from the sun should have killed them...*It took all those rockets boosters to get to the moon, but the lander itself easily flew back to earth The moon landing was a hoax to make the rusiians believe we were years ahead of them in technology. If we did go to the moon-

I think mine do. I am fairly convinced that I have several different dreams that sort of merge together until I wake up.So it becomes more muddled and events from years ago end up with events from a few days ago all put together into some unexplainable story. But why when the radio alarm goes off does the voice or music that is on seem to merge seamlessly into the dream?
