Why does the US spend so much on space exploration? We'll never get there and who cares? How does what we learn really affect us or even the planet (considering the $$ spent)? We can spend the money on something better, Americans?
Please spend our money on something else!!

I've been getting minimum approaches between this asteroid's orbit and Earth's orbit of about 750 kilometers, meaning that the physical body of Earth contains a segment of the asteroid's orbit for about seven minutes each year.

Looking ahead, I've noticed that there's a very close passby in December 2141. What chance is there for a collision? If there is a collision the impact speed will be 30.881 km/sec (including the acceleration by Earth's gravity). To figure the impact energy, we need to know the asteroid's mass. What is it?

There is a critical mass beyond which any star or an object with its own gravitational force turn into a black hole. The mass before the big bang was much more than the critical mass, then why did it not turn into a black hole.

First of all, go to this website:

http://www.redzero.demon.co.uk/moonhoax/

Second, read everything on that website. It'll take you at least a half an hour. So if you are going to answer this question, make sure you actually read the website. Otherwise, you may end up looking like a complete idiot saying things that are clearly debunked by said website. Any answer before half an hour is up that supports the idea that the moon landings were faked clearly either didn't read this part of my question or can't be bothered by actually checking facts.

Third, what makes you think you are more intelligent than Russian Secret Service? Because you know if they had any doubts about the moon landings being legit, they would have broadcast it EVERYWHERE.

700 boxes that held all the documents about the landing on the moon have been missing since last year. All of them. Now did we really land on the moon or NASA is now making up this excuse because it was a lie to begin with?

I was thinking of the strong Roman god/goddess name tradition, and i would have liked Peresphone/ Proserpina, the Queen of the Underworld in Roman mythology, since the planet is a icy-cold one.

I am really interested about buying a telescope. What type is better to start with. Reflector or refractor. What brand/model. I live in Montana and I would like to know what would be the best time of year for observing. (I dont want to stand in a field in 3 feet of snow and minus -10 temperature to look at Uranus.

Please, read this page before: http://spaceflightnow.com/news/n0608/16planets/

Okay, So, if the proposed 12 planets in our Solar System according the official report "will be Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Ceres, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, Charon and 2003 UB313"...

But Is not Charon the moon that orbit Pluto? Can a moon that orbit a planet be a planet? So, why not Triton, Europa, Titan, etc can be also considered as planets? A weird question.

Also, do you think there is life in several big moons of our Solar System? I say "Yes". What do you think?
