Is anyon else as excited to see what the outcome will be? What do you think that the decision should be? I personally feel that they should stick to classification methods and keep them all as planets. I think it would be awesome to have like 29 planets or more! Anyway, your thoughts please....

To remember the 9 planets I used to recite "My very efficient mind just store up nine planets". But with the all new list of planets (see my other questions) there is a pressing question to answer, How do we remember the names and order of the 12 planets?

The names and order of the planets are: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Ceres (formerly an asteroid), Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto & Charon(can be in any order as they are twin planets) and Xena (also known as 2003 UB313).

Good luck.

There is also the "classical planets" (the originals without Pluto), which might need remembering on their own. I will also consider any ways to remeber these for best answer.

Heard that this is happening at present because of the gravity pull of jupiter. It will be very clear on the 27th of August when it will be the same size as the moon, I've been told that this could not happen. But also told that this will not occur again for another 60,00 years. Suppose my legs being pulled.

This is a hypothetical question. I am just wondering.

The International Astronomical Union (IAU) has come up with a plan to re define what is a planet.

Under the new guidelines, can the Death Star be regarded as a planet? After all, it was quite big and its round. If it can't, why?

I have a bet with my brother who says the sun is way bigger and he's totally gonna lose because the sun and the moon are the same size and the moon sometimes even looks bigger. In the movie ET the moon is like totaly huge. The winner of the bet gets to punch the loser in the stomach with FULL FORCE hee hee even though my brother is like 4 times biger than me and 10 times stronger he's really gonna hurt when I sock him!!!

when i was a child (12) i was playing near a canal, it was getting dark. i saw a red/orange glow.. i turned to see a tall figure.. arms stretched out like jesus on the cross.. but there was no cross.. the whole thing glowed red/orange with no features.. it lit the area where it hovered. i turned away n looked back but it stayed there for 5 mins or so.. i turned again n it had gone. ive never been so scared in my life. im in my thirties now.. i wish i knew what happened..

I asked this sort of question a few days back, but I'm still looking for an answer?
Ok here is an interesting one. What is your theory on this??

I have a theory about aliens; I believe that they are humans, who have come back in time after a few thousand years to see what led to the way they evolved,

There have been to many sightings and reports to not think that they are a part of this world. I mean they are said to come and take cows, water, humans, embryos, and other stuff, they leave crop circles that we understand, like communicating with us,

So my theory is that they are people evolved, and I think they mean us no harm, just that they now have the technology to come back and see what we are like and not leave any of their technology behind as it could be disastrous, and maybe just leave clues as to what we will be like in a few thousand years.

As with past languages, our languages will be lost and replaced with new ones, so they wont be able to communicate

As you know, buzz aldrin had a crazy reaction to the conspiracy theorists when asked if we really did go to the moon.

I just want people's intuitive thoughts on the matter - personally i feel there was a massive, intentional story built to make the US seem bigger and badder than it is.

kinda reminds me "oh yeah, that's why our country has such a huge deficit.

also reminds me "oh yeah... we're in the us and the u.s. is ranked lower by only one other country in the world in terms of general science knowledge." yet we went to the moon first... ? yet nobody in the world has gone to the moon in like...a REALLY long time.
