Well it burns up when it hits the atmospher it seems like it would burn much more readly than a rock. There might be a lot of alien crap up there in space even one alien after a month is a lot of crap what if there where hundreds compounded by months to years in space travel. lets say the alien did not flush every time he save up his sewer then decided to dump it all at once a giant ball of fecal or asteroid of crap coming at a planet. Do we half to take that sort of crap from aliens? It could ruin the whole planet.

These mirrors were left behind by 3 seperate apollo missions. They have been used, on an almost daily basis by hundreds of observatories all over the world.
So, if you say (and trust me folks, there are people, and I kid you not, that believe, that people have never walked on the moon.
Yep, they really are this stupid.
They believe that the greatest feat of engineering in the history of mankind, was faked on a movie studio in Texas somewhere.
Hey, these are THIER words, not mine.
But when it comes to the retroreflector arrays, they are strangely silent. Why is that?
Because it proves man went to the moon. Repeatedly.
So, I'd like to hear some theories about how the reflectors got there.
(In case you don't know the retroreflectors may be the most important thing the Apollo missions left behind. They are simple devices, just three part mirrors that reflect back a lazer beam. With this unit we can determine the distance from earth to the moon to within 3 centimeters)
So, let's hear it...

This is my theory...
I believe space may not be infinite, but rather looped together at each end, much like the equator of earth. If you travel far enough in one direction, you will end up in the same place you started. Time may work in the same way. If we travel far enough into the future, maybe we will end up in our past - or actually, the next occurrence of that same event. Our universe may end with the very thing that started it, the "Big Bang".
Assuming this is true, would it eliminate paradoxes like killing your grandfather before you were born? You would still exist, but your next 'generation' would not.

Does this sound plausible?

A mess of questions to indicate my mess of understanding.

Why is the speed of light a constant?

Does this exact figure correspond to mass requiring an infinite amount of energy at that given point, can't it actuall happen ever so slightly before or after this speed?

Is the speed of light an arbitrary marker used by physicists?

Is there an inhibiting factor to non-rest particles beyond this speed? Why this particular speed? It just seems so arbitrary.

I just div'nae understand.

Back in my school daze (sic intentional, this was in the 60's), I inadvertently signed up for a course in Cosmology. One of the baffling topics covered was the relationship between local intertial forces and the rest of the universe.

I seem to remember that one of the popular theories posited that the relationship between local inertial forces and other objects in the universe was linear; i.e., the magnitudes of local inertial forces on an object varied with the first power of the distances between that object and all other objects in the universe.

The net result was that the most distant objects in the universe had more influence on local intertial properties than the nearby objects.

Am I on track with this?
