These mirrors were left behind by 3 seperate apollo missions. They have been used, on an almost daily basis by hundreds of observatories all over the world.
So, if you say (and trust me folks, there are people, and I kid you not, that believe, that people have never walked on the moon.
Yep, they really are this stupid.
They believe that the greatest feat of engineering in the history of mankind, was faked on a movie studio in Texas somewhere.
Hey, these are THIER words, not mine.
But when it comes to the retroreflector arrays, they are strangely silent. Why is that?
Because it proves man went to the moon. Repeatedly.
So, I'd like to hear some theories about how the reflectors got there.
(In case you don't know the retroreflectors may be the most important thing the Apollo missions left behind. They are simple devices, just three part mirrors that reflect back a lazer beam. With this unit we can determine the distance from earth to the moon to within 3 centimeters)
So, let's hear it...

There is WAY more evidence than that which shows people were on the moon. I appreciate your effort, but you are dealing with people who's ability to reason and think clearly is diminished, to say it nicely. Thus it is a battle you cannot win. Keep on the good fight.

Lol. Just like people watched the shuttle take off and go into outerspace, and it was filmed anyway. I mean, they didn't ******* get the 'A small step for man, a giant leap for mankind' tape from nowhere XD

The rocket they used wasn't designed to orbit the earth, it goes too fast, so where did they go? The shuttle can't turn around in space...and yet they came back!!! They went to mars instead? How dumb are these people?

They must have cloned them in russia or something and then sent them back in a fake pod! OMFG!!!!!!!!!

But yea, they're morons that don't know an ounce of astrophysics and can't appriciate the work of great minds. It's pretty f ucking sad.

First off, I believe man landed on the moon because it is ridiculous to think that a conspiracy involving thousands of people could stay alive for almost forty years.

That said, the simplest explanation a conspiracy theorist would offer is that the mirrors were placed using unmanned landers, remotely controlled from the ground. The Soviets had their own lunar rovers, called Lunokhod (sp), so the theorists would say that the reflectors are just rovers with the arrays on their tops.

While they are at it, how do they explain the Moon rocks on display in various museums?

The answer is, they will say everything is fake. The rocks are Earth rocks and people who say they have analyzed them are in on the conspiracy. The people who bounce lasers off the reflectors are in on the conspiracy. When we have commercial tourists going to the Moon and seeing the old Apollo hardware, the tour companies will be in on the conspiracy, placing fake replica hardware there for the tourists to see. And on and on and on. You can't reason with a conspiracy theorist.

I like the guy who announces his [opinion] is neutral on the subject. Give me a break...if you are neutral you are just as stupid as the people who believe it was a hoax.

These folks will watch hours of specials on Fox Television and the Discovery Channel (conspiracy theory central) and yet they can't take just a few minutes to search the internet for the information that thoroughly debunks everything on those shows (including the waving flag comment). They like to think they are "open-minded" but the truth is the only thing their minds have gathered is trash.

I know that man has been to the moon but those who believe that man never went to the moon can and do dismiss any evidence that demonstrates that man was there. If you refuse to accept as valid any evidence that there was a moon landing it is easy to deny it happened. It is an amazing feat of rationalization to see when one of these crackpots face the evidence and either classify it as fake or state loudly(they always get loud) that it doesn't have any relevance.

It's like trying to prove to someone there is no god. No physical evidence to support a god... tons of physical evidence that there is no god... but people think there is a god.
