I know the space shuttle enters the atmosphere at very fast speeds and thus reaches EXTREME temperatures and so the need for the heat shield. My question, assuming fuel resources, why can't the space shuttle slow down sufficiently to enter the atmosphere slowly? Someone mentioned to me that at slow velocities they would bounce off. WHY???? It is not a hard object, so why can't they just gradually push through??? Confused!!!! Thanks!!!

Are there aliens at area 51? If so why not turn them into a display and charge for admission? Think of the line and the tin foil hates and all that crap it would pail the Star Trek conventions.

Are there any other very old nubulas which are ready to form a solar system in our galaxy.

for instance the earth rotates around the milky way galaxie every 250 million years and assuming the universe to be 10 billion years old would imply only 40 rotations. depending on the radius of rotation the black hole must have considerably more revolutions per time.

With our several advancements in space travel and forms of technology accross the board it doesnt make sense that we (human beings) havent been back to expand our territory or even go back to just play around or experiment more. Better yet if we are looking into the endless reaches of space for answers etc. why dont we set up a lauch site / station on the moon ...huh????

I see it from the morning and all day - I assumed that it should be in the sky (at night) on the other side of the world - what's it still doing here in the sunny daylight hours? I've always been baffled by this one - could someone put my simple brain at ease again?

It is possible to see a fairly fast moving light at night but is this a high flying aircraft (no flashing lights or engine noise) or is it the reflection of light from a satellite above the earth?

I mean, why do people make up conspiracy theories and such? Who says that if they exist (personally, I believe the chances of us being alone in the universe, and to a second degree the galaxy, to be very very slim), they`re concerned with us? Why would they come here? And why do the people who firmly believe about UFOs, why do they make such a big deal of it? So we might not be alone, so what?
