Remember that the galaxy doesn't rotate uniformly. Objects near the center complete their orbits much more quickly than those at the periphery. This is much like Mercury with a year that is 88 days long and Pluto with a "year" lasting 248 Earth years.

As others have said, our sun makes the circuit in about 250 million years give or take.
