A couple of happy coincidences - enough gravity to retain the atmosphere, an unusually big moon to cause tides and slow the atmosphere, good distance from the sun so that water stays liquid most of the time...
Scientists have created other environments which could harbour life similar to our own, but in all cases quite a number of special conditions have to be met in order for life to be a viable option.
If provided with more atmosphere and water, and maybe a bit more sunlight, Mars may well sustain life for a long time. But those conditions would have to be created by us.
Humanity is insignificant about life on earth, except for its destructive potential. On Mars, humanity might be important and special...

Actually, bad is not needed... Good is enough...
Do you have to have a rotten potato in your plate to appreciate
the good ones.... Not so...
In fact human beings were the last created per the Bible...
Animals were created first, then humans....
The planet could exist without humans...
It is a priviledge to be invited to be born and come to planet Earth.
It is a gift...
Some like to break their toys an gifts... So the same with Earth...
While some will build, take care and feed the land, other simply
destroy all..... But as was written an explained, one day only
rightful will walk the land...
Earth is unique, generous and enjoyable if you want it to be...
You can create your own vision and happiness, no need to look
too far... Had parents? Had friends? Have water?
What's the problem? In the middle of a war with yourself?
Make peace an start being happy.......

The earth is at a distance from the sun that causes an average temperature over 0°C and under 100°C, which allows for water in its liquid state. And liquid water is essential for the formation of life as we know it. So the balance between too close to the sun (too hot) and too far away from the sun (too cold) is well maintained, so that life becomes possible.
Also the earth is big enough so that it's gravity can hold an atmosphere.

to answer each of your questions
First
earth is special because it is the only planet in this solar system that contains life also without life you could not ask this question her on earth
Second
the earth dose not have only human being existing here on earth there is many forms of life all over the planet
And the last, about the universe going, at least humanity....
balance is one of those things of perspective the universe is very big which is an understatement and an atom is very small but without one the other dose not exist but size can be measured in numbers too and there are untold numbers of centillion of centillion of atoms in this world and yet there is only one universe as far as we know

The earth is so special because it's the only one we know. Maybe when the day we find another planet with intelligent life, ours won't be so special anymore.
