I agree with shravya k. Our little speck of a planet. Its common sense that we know more about our oceans vs. outer space.

Don't remove a question while I am answering it!!!!!!!

I do not accept the often repeated statement that we know less about the deep ocean than we know about outer space. The two are not comparable. We know something about both and have much to learn about both. We can see far into space just by looking, but can't really go there. Oh sure, we have orbital flights and went to the Moon way back when, but that is nothing compared to all of outer space. We cannot see into the ocean but can go there, and have gone there often, even the deepest parts. The two are just too different to compare that way.

We know way more about the Oceans. We still know surprisingly little about the Oceans compared to the land and water on earth, but outer space is largely a mystery.

We are not sure how many planets there are in our own galaxy, we are not even close to knowing that answer. Most of the universe is past our ability to explore. Anything outside of our solar system is up for debate in the scientific community.

The Oceans we have explored to a much larger degree because they are right here, although we still have much to learn about them.

There are sayings that we know more about outer space than our own ocean. But I think it's just an exaggeration. Comparatively, the amount of knowledge of outer space might be more than that of our ocean. But if you think about it relatively (as in the knowledge we know and the actual amount of it out there about space and ocean), we probably know more about our ocean.

I think we know more about our oceans, but I don't know the exact percentage.

You've got to remember that we don't know where space ends. We at least have an idea about where the bottom of the ocean is, therefore we know more of the ocean than we can probably ever know about space.

We have explored about 1% of the ocean. We have not even come close to exploring .0001% of outer-space.

The ocean is absolutely finite. We have not concluded any such information of outer-space.

So, based on percentages we know more about the ocean than outer-space.

Its better if we know ourselves. You seem to be a very intellegent girl to me.If we imagine how much we know about the universe which is continuously expanding we will see we know only 10% of it.If we see our oceans we get know 99% of it.So what is more 10% or 99%.

We must know more about the oceans because space is infinite, therefore no matter how much we know, there is still infinitely more to know.

I'd say outer space.
