Did we know that there was no gravity in outerspace before we sent up the first sattelite? If so, who exactly first said there was no gravity. Also, was the first spaceship with humans that went into outerspace built with no gravity taken into consideration (e.g. objects being strapped to the wall)?

Do you think it could actually be done in the future, due to the growing advances in technology and space travel, or do you think it is impossible, and is all just a sci-fi fantasy?

Considering the vastness of space this question is not: is there life outside Earth. The question is has this planet (Earth) been visited in the past, or on a continuing basis by intelligent extraterestial life forms?

If you ever saw Men in Black 2, in the end there is a nice clip where our Universe is just a sphere in some other EVEN BIGGER world. That got me into asking... does our Universe really has an end?? Does it expand as time goes on? Who can understand this dimention we live in!!

Oh, and while we're at it, could you tell me about all possible dimentions you know of and what do we mean by dimentions, because half an year ago when I was researching UFOs I've learned that some people think some UFOs come from another dimention cause they change shape and color sometimes too! Interesting isn't it?

Well, speak your opinion. I want to hear it!

While we calmly consider rocks in space as fun and occassional sparks of color in a night-time sky, there are some pretty big things that are cruising around up there. July 3 a big one will be passing nearby and in 2009 a rock about 300 yards/meters across will be passing by closer than those geosynchronous satellites that beam our phone calls, news, Internet, and TV to us. Congress recently mandated NASA to do some planning (Near-Earth Object (NEO) Detection, Characterization and Threat Mitigation). Should we simply be about our lives and leave space alone or spend the money and effort to protect ourselves from some unknown event like that which wiped out the dinosaurs?

According to Hubble all the galaxies, which are composed of billions of stars, are running away at tremendous speed (including our Milkyway galaxy) and the speed is increasing! At what point of space they will stop?

I realize that the conglomeration/accumulation of matter is what propels the spin of stars and planets. First of all, is everything in the Milky Way spinning the same direction? If the Milky Way came into existence first with its' counter-clockwise spin, would that give the stars in the galaxy a predisposition to spin counter-clockwise thus adding another factor to the direction and velocity of stellar and planetary spin?
