Yes, how could it be possible that we are the only planet that is positioned currently and close enough to a star in the entire universe? Plus on a more spiritual aspect there is scripture upon the matter... "And by the word of my power, have I created them, which is mine Only Begotten Son, who is full of grace and truth. And worlds without number have I created; and I also created them for mine own purpose; and by the Son I created them, which is mine Only Begotten."

Most of the people who already answered THIS question should first have read MY answer to ANOTHER question just a few minutes ago in which I explained why it is highly-improbable that there is life anywhere else the universe. The question was about whether or not I believed in UFO's and if so could I back up the answer. In the additional information the asker wrongly stated that because of the vastness of space the question wasn't whether or not there was life outside of the Earth but whether or not intelligent extraterrestrial life forms had ever come over for a visit. I don't want to go over my long explanation again right at the moment.

not in this solar system because earth has the right specifications for human life ex water and the right temperature to withstand human life
maybe there could be life on a different solar system like a duplicate earth but there would have to be a planet in the same area away from the star that would act as a sun and it would need a water source and a water cycle

Yes, I think there is life on other planets, just not on the planets in our galaxy.

It would be the height of egotism to believe that, in the whole universe, we are the only living planet or that we are the most intellegent beings out there.

Ludicrous!

the right environment brings forth life, we are a tiny solar system in the Milky Way, the Milky Way dwarfs in size to other galaxies. we can't possibly be the only forms of life in this whole universe.

life here or on other planets all boils down to one man:God,cos he created the thing himself,as much as we think this is a scienific question its also a spiritual one.why did he create it in the first place?because he needed to feel loved, and he created beings who could give and recieve love on a higher scale,be they humans or three armed aliens.
