First of all...it won't. (But you know that.) But if it just suddenly was "turned off"...you would know it ,in 8 min and 20 seconds. That's exactly how long light takes to get here. (8:10 winter, 8:20 spring, 8:30 summer, 8:20 fall = 8:20 average time.) Yes...we are actually closer to the sun in the winter. The temp in space is just barely above absolute zero, so after it went out we would immediately start to cool to the point of freezing solid rather quickly. Not only can't the sun just "go out" but it can not even blow up. (or Super Nova) You need about 1.5 times the mass it has to do that. It is about halfway through its life of 9 billion years. It's 4.6 Billion now. In about 3.5 billion years more it will swell up to become a red giant and engulf the earth. Then cool and shrink to be a white dwarf about the same size as Earth is now. I hope that answers your question and more.

No sun=no light
therefore no animals
therefore no light
therefore.............you get the picture
we'd all be dead without the sun
We wouldn't feel the affect for 7 minutes because it takes 7 minutes for the light from the sun to reach our eyes. So, therefore, if you look at the sun (although I advise not to because you will become blinded) you are looking at a 7-minute "old" sun. Don't worry, though, the sun won't turn into a red giant and swallow us all for a couple of million years still. By then we'll all be eaten by insects, right guys?

If the sun went out then all the planet will not exsite. Because most of the planets in our solar system is powered by the sun. Some will melt ,explode, and get out of orbit and crush into each other and that will be the end of our Wilky Way.

THe earth would be frozen with in minutes it only takes about 7to 11 second for the light to travel from the sun to the earth. But don't worry It won't happen like that it will cook us long be for it goes out that is if we are is here at all, remmber those things call dinosaurs that ruled here for millions of yrs? Poof! Gone Baby.

In between the time when the sun explodes and when we all finally freeze to death there would be a moment of chaos. Some would commit suicide, others will walk through the streets in search for any valuable goods to spend their last moments of life in comfort. And the two-faces will finally show their true face to either their boss, employees, neighbors, cousins, friends, etc.

if the sun went out , then definitely all living creatures will die because these living creatures really need the energy from the sun. Sun is the source of all energy.

our sun would most likely turn into a white dwarf star, but before collapsing into a dense state, it would expand rapidly and engulf some of the closer planets in orbit. chances are things might get kinda hot here on earth before coming to a quick and rather cold freeze considering it only takes light 8 seconds to get from the sun to the earth

Then 8.3 minutes later we would be toast literally as when our sun finally uses up it hydrogen it will expand (encompassing the Eath) into a Red Giant star then eventually shrink to a White Dwarf star.

The street lights would come on.
We could do away with daylight savings time.
I wouldn't need my sunscreen anymore.
Summer just wouldn't be the same.
Flashlights would sell like hotcakes!
