Stephen Hawking recently said that humans must go in to space to develop homes on the moon and on Mars within the next 40 years. He says that the existence of the human race depends on this due to the increasing risk that a disaster will destroy the Earth.

I was reading an article about Stephen Hawking. I was just wondering if he was born with a neurological disease that kept him in a wheelchair for his entire life or was he able to walk and talk and slowly developed into the situation he is in today?

Is there any website that has a biography of his life?

The photo must show the lunar rover and lunar lander and the American flag. These photos must be after they have supposedly left the site. The photo must be by telescope from the Earth to the moon! If no one can find any recent photos then the moon landings are a massive hoax! This will prove it once and for all! I don't believe we have as yet landed people on the moon!

I was there in April of 2004 with my father, I know it's a long time ago, but I'm looking for a movie about space and how big we are in comparison...I wish I could be less vague. If anyone recalls this movie, please let me know, I'm trying to get it for him for Father's Day. Thanks a lot for any help....

What will happen if the moon got closer and closer to earth, and then just fell on it, you know, because of gravity. I understand that its not likely to happen. But what if? Will everyone feel it? Will there be a gigantic earthquake, or some kind of deadly wave?

The Northern hemisphere is way below the average elevation for the planet. Also, it seems a lot smoother than that pockmarked southern hemisphere. The North pole of Mars also sits on top of a dome that's almost 3 kilometers above the surrounding area.

To help you give me a better answer, here are a few more pictures of Martian phenomena:

Craters centered on other craters:

Craters with mounds raised in the middle, that resemble results of electric arcs striking clay anodes in lab experiments (note the how the mud "sweats" away from the crater):

and the "collapsed lava tubes" of Ascraeus Mons (plasma scars):

Many scientists believe that the moon was formed from dust and debris either from earth or from somewhere else in the solar syste. Form hypothesis to explain how this debris became the moon.

For example, if you was fortunate to somehow stand on a remote planet, say 50 light years away, armed with a super powerful telescope (patent pending - just send me £10 million english pounds to my swiss bank account and I will gladly give you the design) would it be possible to see all events on earth occuring 50 years ago in detail?
