We all know we are living in space but at what point did it begin and how fast was it traveling?

I believe that extra terrestrials have no need or want to invade Earth.
1. Its not profitable. Its far to expensive to transport a huge army from their distant planet to come and invade Earth.
2. They cant eat us, or use our organic material in any way. This is because their biology will be far different from our own.
3. Aliens who kill off all life forms on our planet will have to terraform the planet to suit their own needs. This is pointless though, because they could just terraform planets in their own solar system.
4. They wont use us as slaves, because if they have the technology to reach our planet, they must have access to an inexpensive, unexhaustable form of energy.
What do you think?

The formation of 'walls' of superclusters of galaxies exist further in spacetime and beyond the limits of time placed upon the susposed time-point of origin of the 'Big Bang.' Given that it takes additional billions of years for stars to form, organize into clusters and form a galaxy, let alone clusters of galaxies then superclusters of millions or billions of galaxies, would their existence beyond the time frame of the susposed 'Big Bang' theory exclude this theory and beg that another theory be hypothesized in its place to explain this observational data? Is this not how science works - formulate a hypothesis, test it with experimentation and observation, adjust the theory or discard it if the observation or empirical data proves that the hypothesis is invalid?! Ithought pondering a little cosmology was in order. RTT

Specifically, was matter travelling away from the center of the big bang at a rate faster than light (which would be impossible) or was some non-material aspect of the "fabric" of space expanding at a tremendous rate?

I just read an article where Stephen Hawking said "The survival of the human race depends on its ability to find new homes elsewhere in the universe because there's an increasing risk that a disaster will destroy the Earth." Do you think this is possible and if so, how long do you think it will be until we can have colonies set up on other planets that will be able to survive without the aid from Earth?
