you get allot of technology that you take for granted like a cordless drill, water softeners, compact computers, medicines that can't be made on Earth and much more. And it helps predict weather and warn us about meteors.

Where do I begin, the Voyager 1 and 2, the moons of Saturn and Jupiter, the Hubble there are a few only a few of the many things the program has given to us, if I my self only had the money to give I would but I have children with dreams and ambition's to one day see the stars to land on an alien planet.
There is to much to type and not all words can be spoken about how wonderful the program is I've seen the Hal bob comet and it took my breath away so I understand why there is a program I hope you look up every once in a while to remember.

The benefits may not always be apparent but if we do not continue to strive to explore space we may be dooming the future of human kind. Earth has a finite amount of natural resources which one day will be consumed by an ever growing population. As a Canadian, I applaud the US space program and am never critical to any spending that our government does to assist the US program.

Computers for starters. we neded a high volume information retrieval system to calculate trajectories, if we didn't have the space program to finance that research, we could not be sitting on the internet now. Medicine- there are antibiotics that are made in greater volume in null gravity. Cell phones. Some of the companies bounce their signals off of sattelites rather than cell towers. Let's not forget sattelite TV and weather sattelites. World peace- the international space station is keeping us cooperating at least on some level.

The development of new drugs that cant possibly be manufactured on earth to eliminate killer diseases for one, new materials stronger and lighter than anything that can be produced which will make buildings, cars , etc stronger and safer unless they are manufactured in zero g and or a total vacuum, the list goes on! We have already benefited from space exploration!

when the earth gets destroyed either naturally or by self-induced processes, we'll need another planet to colonize... the existence of humans is dependent on today's research!
