An analogy may be in order. Model spacetime by a
sphere with time being represented by going down
a longitude line and space for a fixed time being
represented by a latitude line. The Big Bang would
be represented by the north pole. In this model,
space expands until we get to the equator and then
starts to contract again until we get to the south
pole, which represents a 'Big Crunch'.

Now ask what space is expanding into. By
looking at our model, we see the question is either
meaningless, or just has the answer 'into the future'.

In the real world, the spacial part is three dimensional,
not one dimensional like in our model (the circles of
latitude). Also, it is likely that the universe
will expand forever, so instead of a sphere, a
trumpet shape may be more appropriate. But the actual
models used by scientists are generalizations and
elaborations of models like this toy model.

The term 'Universe' is utilized to that Cosmic device which includes each entity we are in a position to notice or journey. at the same time with 'area' and 'Time'. That the Universe is exanding is a reality wide-unfold by utilising repeated remark performed by utilising many human beings via the years. There may well be as little question approximately it as there may well be in any properly wide-unfold scientific reality. although this would not recommend massive Bang concept is unavoidably valid. that maintains to be an open question. in spite of the indisputable fact that, assuming it is valid, then in accordance to special Bang concept 'area' became created on the 2nd the Universe began to strengthen from a state of countless (?) density. So what's meant by utilising enlargement is that the quantity of area with appreciate to volume of count-power is increasing, to that end lowering dentity of the Universe. There may well be no different meaning linked to it. The question 'what's it increasing into?' presupposes that there is a some thing exterior the Universe. perhaps we sould supply this imaginary entity a clean call. It cant be 'area'. If there is this type of situation, then because of the fact it cant be observed and is exterior our sphere of remark, we are in a position to cut back it out from our concept. it is purely for our mind's eye and hypothesis.

Mathematically, the universe is expanding in nothingness, creating space as it increases. But if you look at it in an cosmologist way, then it is expanding in a more bigger universe that contains infinite universe which are also expanding.
