Sulfur dioxide is produced in enormous amounts for sulfuric acid production. It melts at -73°C and boils at -10°C. Its H°fus is 8.619 kJ/mol and its H°vap is 25.73 kJ/mol. The specific heat capacities of the liquid and gas are 0.995 J/g·K and 0.622 J/g·K, respectively. How much heat is required to convert 2.490 kg of solid SO2 at the melting point to a gas at 60°C?

The manager of a large apartment complex knows from experience that 100 units will be occupied if the rent is 420 dollars per month. A market survey suggests that, on the average, one additional unit will remain vacant for each 7 dollar increase in rent. Similarly, one additional unit will be occupied for each 7 dollar decrease in rent.

a. Give an expression for the monthly revenue in terms of x, the monthly rent being charged.

b. What rent should the manager charge to maximize revenue?

why do you think this is? is it for the benefit of all mankind or are they building some thing up there that will alllow them to control every one down here on the planet? or are they hoping to find a planet that will support human life, so they can finally escape from us, bearing in mind that only people with more than $10,000,000 dollars will be allowed to live there?
is this what their really up to? because lets face it these people, the haves and the have mores never do any thing for any one but them selves ,unless of course they are absolutely forced too?
you might say im a little sceptical about there motives.

In the power transformer we usually use the tap changer in 5 steps (-5, -2.5, 0, +2.5, +5) on primary side at off load.

the question:
1- why it is 5 steps?
2- why it is in the primary side? if it is on secondary side, is true?
3- why it is at off load?

thankyou very much

Both the weather radio and Yahoo weather tell me that the approaching snow storm warning will last until 12 PM tomorrow . Is that noon tomorrow or is it midnight between today and tomorrow ? What is wrong with using the apparently old fashion "noon" and "midnight" ? My children tell me that digital watches use 12 AM and 12 PM. (bad design!) I don't have a digital watch.
