I just experienced a phenomenon at home. I found myself looking at two bright lights one on top of each other that came hovering down the stairs and stopped in the dining room, increased in brightness(silver color)and dissapeared like a flash, I was not afraid. It just felt peaceful. I was not the only one that saw it. I'm just amazed and will like to know. What it was?

Im a little confused as to how to find the answer. I am able to do it with only 2 numbers but the third number has throws me off.
What was the percent increase in the population in South America from 1900 to 2000?
1900-38,000,000,
1950-111,000,000,
2000-515,000,000

if it was only 2 say years 2000 and 1950 the equation would be
(515,000,000-111,000,000)/111,000000x100%
so what do I do when a third number is added ? does that make any sense ?

We're part of it, and it's so mind-numbingly huge (as if that wasn't enough, it's ever-expanding),we might be led to think "what are we doing here/ why are we here?".These questions aren't new, but if you read/watch some documentary about the universe, you'll feel totally desperate to know what's the point of all this. I also have some questions of my own. What's the shape of the universe? if it's expanding, and i believe it to be expanding in EVERY direction so, would that make it a sphere? or just no shape? 'Cause if it hasn't stopped expanding, how can it have a definite shape? I know, it's hard to answer, but if you really think about it for too long, it just drives you nuts. And I do believe that there is life beyond our solar system, seriously, how could there not be?! It's just a question of LOGIC! But, what's the point of all this? Don't you wish to know the truth? I like to think that after dying, all this mistery is revealed to us, in the afterlife or smth, like a revelation.
