Alright. Well, we are doing a lab and I need some equations.
Basically, we had to time how fast it took us to run up 4 flights of stairs. (10 Meters Up to Down in a Straight Line)

My time was 12.30. I weigh 105 lbs. My Horsepower was .61 (but negate this, I only need the equations to get to this point using the fact that the staircase was 10m, my time was 12.3, and I weigh 105 lbs)

I need the equations and plug ins to get Horsepower and How many times I'd have to run up the stairs to burn off 140 Calories.

Thanks

This is more of a vote just curious on how many people believe in ESP or even in any form of extra insight gained by animals and/or plants?

The E string of a violin has a mass per unit length of 4.0*(10^-4)kg/m, and must be tuned to a frequency of 660 Hertz. The vibrating length of the string is 0.33 m. Calculate the tension when the string is in tune.

If you place an object with a mass of 613kg on an elevator that can generate up to 950 watts of power, what is the constant speed of the elevator lifting the object? (And of course, gravity is 9.8m/s squared)

If you pump water up 92 meters and um... it's going 75 L/s?... each liter has a mass of 1kg, then what is the power (I think? -- watts, anyway) to maintain that 75L/s thing?

Really sorry for being unclear, I had to attempt translating that. :/ Anyway, steps please. Thanks in advance!

ithis is not for me, im doing it for my cousin. The answer i got is 67.5 minutes. i just want some confirmation if this is correct.

question:
A fully charged cell phone can work in a standby position (you don’t talk on the phone) for 72 hours, or we can talk continually for 3 hours on it, and then we have to recharge it again. This cell phone, after it was fully charged, was on standby for 27 hours and then the owner conducted a 45 min. conversation. How many more minutes could we still talk on this phone?

p.s. ill post how i got my solution later if this question is bugging you and you want to know how i got 67.5 minutes

Hi, I am planning to transfer to University of Colorado at Boulder and I wan t to major in engineering. It has a concurrent program wherein I can get my Bachelors in Architectural Engineering and Masters in Civil for five years and it also has a BS/MS program in Chemical engineering. I know being a chem. eng pays more, but I am not really into chemicals and all those processes involved with it. I even hate handling laboratory instruments. I am really interested in architecture, though. Do you guys think it would be better for me to be an arch/civil engineer? How much do you think would I be paid as soon as I graduate?
