every site online talking about this is 99% some school thing

i'm good with math and it's probably incredibly simple
but
i don't understand how to turn absorbance vs time data into usable information
every thing i read on it lightly talks about it and then goes straight to the other equations
i've yet to see what exactly they are doing with this

i'm pretty sure i believe it has something to do with the slopes
but i need to actually see it done out in as many steps

i don't know why it's mystifying me so much
i know for nonlinear plots i should find the tangent buti was told just find the slope at a flat point haha
but a 2nd order regression line fits perfect and i wouldn't mind relating that into it
but
first things first
my retardedness at seeing the connection beyond this

Okay, everytime people describe aliens...they have 2 eyes, 2 arms, 2 legs...are we so selfabsorbed, that we can assume they have the same physical body as we, humans, have ? And...the UFO's always have an engine, consist of metal and lights...thus..we assume again that they have the same starting technology as we have....so they would have to posess the same (earthly) materials as we do...doesn't this sound unlikely, assuming they come from outer space, millions of lightyears located from the earth ?

The UFO was sited in Richland Center, Wisconsin 53581. It was above the Walmart parking lot at approximatly 19:35. It had a green light on the left, and a red light on the right. It hovered in one spot, for approximatly one minute, and then changed both lights to white, and took off west.

It looked like the following symbol. ├I The green light would be on the bottom on this symbol, and the red light would be on the top.
If you have any information whatsoever, please post an answer. Anything is welcome. I will chose the best answer, based on what way to report this works best.

A hydroelectric dam holds back a lake of surface area 2.9×106 m^2 that has vertical sides below the water level. The water level in the lake is a height 150 m above the base of the dam. When the water passes through turbines at the base of the dam, its mechanical energy is converted into electrical energy with 90 % efficiency.

What volume of water must pass through the dam to produce an amount of electrical energy totalling 1000 kilowatt-hours of electrical energy?
What distance does the level of water in the lake fall when this much water passes through the dam?
