Consider a two slit interference pattern, for which the intensity distribution is given by

I = I(not) cos^2 (pi*d*sin(theta) / lamda)

Let θm be the angular position of the mth bright fringe, where the intensity is I(not). Assume that θm is small. Let θm+ and θm- be the two angles on either side of θm for which I=½I(not). The quantity Δθm= |θm+ -θm-| is the half-width of the mth fringe. Calculate Δθm. How does Δθm depend on m?

We climbed to the peak of Manzano Mountains in New Mexico - approx 10,000 to 11,000 feet, and found shell and coral fossils. How did they get there? How were the mountains formed? Upheaval? Volcanic? Was there sea life millions of years ago when earth was covered with water, and was the sea level above 11,000 feet? Gosh, I am a dope when it comes to geology. Don't laugh, please.

I just purchased a WO megrez 90mm APO. I want to do star testing so I looked up a few web sites on it because ive never done it before and I wanted to test the lenes. They said you should see concentric rings but all I saw was one two rings.The pics they showed had 5-7 rings or so. Also I am getting a very small amount of comet tails on the stars on the very outer edge ( when in focus) . I guess my question is... how much does the quality of the eyepiece effect testing of the scope? should I be using Neglers.......I dont have one

I know I sound like a crack head but I do believe in UFO's and other life out there. I also believe the government knows about it (not just the U.S.) and they are hiding the truth from us. It will all come out someday!

Communications satellites are placed in a circular orbit where they stay directly over a fixed point on the equator as the earth rotates. These are called geosynchronous orbits. The altitude of a geosynchronous orbit is 3.58 x 10^7m. What is the period of the motion? What is the value of g at this orbit? What is the apparent weight of a 2000kg satellite at this g?

Now, I found the period to be 24hr, and the value of g to be 0.223m/s/s. But I cannot seem to find a formula to correctly calculate the apparent weight of the satellite with this information.

(b) the time taken by object to reach the ground

i think the equation if x = peaches, then
x times 3 + x times 2 = 24
ive tried everything and i cant reach it
