The acceleration function of a bus is given by a(t) = 1.2t

a.) derive the bus's velocity and position functions. Show all appropriate calculus and algebraic steps.

b.) if the bus's velocity at time t = 1.0 sec is 5.0 m/s, what is its velocity at time t = 2.0 sec?

c.) if the bus's position at time t = 1.0 sec is 6.0 m, what is its position at time t = 2.0 sec?

After differenciating, i got
v = 2.4t^2 + vi
x = 4/5t^3 + vit + xi

are these right?, and if they are how would i find the next two answers?

plz show me your steps

Say I go to a fast food restaurant 10 miles away to get lunch. I averaged 29 miles per hour on the way there. Anyway, I need my average speed to be 60 miles per hour for the whole round trip. How fast do I need to go on the way back?

Just say that I got the food in record time so it's negligible and time spent actually traveling is all that matters.

You plan a trip on which you want to average 90km/h. You cover the first half of the distance at an average speed of only 48km/h. What must your average speed be in the second half of the trip to meet your goal? Note that the velocities are based on half the distance, not half the time.
