i really need help 2 pass a test!!

In a zoology journal I read recently, I came across this statement: "The area of the outer circle was 3 times larger than that of the inner circle."

It was also given that the radius of the outer circle was 100 m while the radius of the inner circle was 50 m.

I tried verifying this using the equation: Ao/Ai=3 (Ao=area of outer circle, Ai = area of inner circle). But instead of getting the expected answer of 3, I got 4 instead. I suspect that there was something in the statement that made things quite confusing.

So I ask you, what did the statement mean? And what was the equation that was used for the said statement? I hope you can reply ASAP.

Seriously.. How can you read a tree? By its rings, to see how old it is, and what it's been through by the spacing of the rings??

I have a Littman II SE, which I am ready to toss. I cannot hear most murmurs unless they are totally obvious. I have tried even the Littman III Cardiology scope but it does not even compare to my vet's Philips Rappaport-Sprague scope. Unfortunately, they are now discontinued and I cannot find one for sale anywhere. I even like the $30 Prestige Sprague better than my Littman....
I have listened to an ultrascope which is better than mine, but I am not keen on carrying that bulky scope everywhere....
I would like to find a stethoscope that comes close to the Philips (formerly HP) scope that is not digital....
Can someone please Help?

Ok, so I have been looking into this Mayan prediction that the world will end or be changed forever on 12/21/12 and I am not really sure what to believe. Has anyone ever heard of any other Mayan prediction that has come true?

I swear in my short lifetime there has been hundreds of false predictions of the earths demise I really just want to know why this is any different. The Mayans were very advanced for there time yet they where not even prepared for there own demise, so I find it strange that they are calling ours.

Could this just be the day they decided to stop witting or is there any type of scientific proof? I have heard the pole reversal theory and I geuss it is plausable.

I am currently in modern algebra, or also known as contemporary/abstract algebra.

The question is short and simple, but I have absolutely no clue how to approach this problem.

Question: Give an example of a group with 105 elements. Give two examples of groups with 44 elements.

How do I go about this? Can I just name a set and list 105 elements? That seems absurd. I really need help. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
Thanks for your time!
