it's easy enough to think, okay, ten marbles. you arrange them in two rows of five and it's there in your head, easy as pie. then, 100? ten times that, okay. get real rocks and count out ten groups of ten, got it. but when you try to imagine millions upon billions of say, people on earth, or stars in the universe, the process becomes absurd. how do you get your head around such large numbers? how do you really comprehend the meaning of million years? a zillion atoms? etc.

please tell me the domain. I'm not quite sure here, but what i know is that the graph of a step function should be "stairs-like" but these are quite different. Please help? Thanks in advance.

methylated spirits. this is the information I know

Mass of empty cup: 2.2g (±0.05g)
Mass of cup with methylated spirits: 49.5g (±0.05g)
Mass of heated water: 44.8g (±0.05g)
Volume water: 50ml (±0.05ml)

Original temperature of methylated spirits: 20.0º (±0.5º)
Temperature of heated water: 80.0º (±0.5º)
Temperature of mixture: 54.0 º (±0.5º)

Specific Heat Capacity of a Mixture: MwaterCwaterΔTwater=MmethCmethΔTmeth

Assume specific heat capacity if water is 4.19 x 103 J/Kg-1K-1

i can solve the problem but i dont know how to take into account the the uncertanties to get relative uncertainty and percentage discrepency

1) f(X)=x^4-3x^2+2
f'(x)= 4x^3-6x
line tangent to the graph of f(x) is y=6x-8
Find the x-coordinate of each point at which the line tangent to the graph of f is parallel to the line y=-2x+4.

2)f(x)= ln(X^2-9)

QUESTION: Determine the symmetry of the graph of f.
Question: Write a formula for the inverse of f, for x>3.

3. f(x)= x^3-x/x^3-4x

QUESTION: Write an equation for each vertical and each horizontal asymptote to the graph f. (Show all work, including limits to infinty to get the answers)

QUESTION: Describe the symmetry of the graph of f. Show all work using your symmetry test.
