You say that it is backed up by years of experimentation and studies yet evolution has never been replicated in an experiment and Darwin who first came up with evolution is not even in todays science text books. So why is it again that you choose to believe in the theory of evolution?

I'm in a tower building competition, and the judges want the tower to be light, but be able to hold a load of around 15-20 kg.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

1. Physical Chemistry
2. Heat Transfer
3. Fluid Flow
4. Thermodynamics (second semester, although a good book that covers the topic period would be very helpful.)

I don't want solutions manuals specific to my books, because I know myself and I wouldn't really work through the problems so much as convince myself in my head that I understand it. I'm really just looking for good solutions manuals with in depth answers given that will serve as a sort of guide with the homework in these classes. Thank you for any help you can provide!

I know, I know an egg is an egg and all that BUT I know brown are better, I just don't know why. Maybe because my grandfather's farm had chickens that laid brown eggs and every egg I saw up to the age of 13 or so was a BROWN egg.
OK this might account for it psychologically BUT WHY
are brown eggs more expensive than white eggs? And also are people sticking up for white eggs just so they can save a little money??

I know brown eggs are better because they cost more. White eggs probably come from scrawny chickens that don't eat good, expensive feed.

All this said and done, I still don't really know why they are better, so come on brown egg people let's hear some good solid reasons why we are right!!!

Please don't get bent out of shape over this, it is intended to be a little bit of fun and maybe someone will come up with something definitive.....thank you

I had a strange experience in the form of a very vivid dream a few weeks ago, and I have been trying to figure out what it means. I don't know if I need a psychic or a parapsychologist! If anyone can help or offer any advice I would be so grateful.

My grandmother died very suddenly on July 19th of this year from a heart attack. I was very close to her, and we had a very good relationship. On August 7th, I dreamed that I was in her back yard, and she walked out of her house carrying a tray of soda. I saw her coming and ran up to her to grab the tray. She insisted she was fine and, after setting the tray down, grabbed me by the hand and said "Come here, I have to show you something". I followed her back into the house, and sat at the kitchen table. She stood next to me, over my left shoulder with her hand on the back of the chair. It was then that I remembered that she was no longer living, and I looked at her and touched her face. She looked so good, much younger than she did when she died and so happy. She was smiling so much, and her face was filled with so much light. It's very hard to explain, but everything was so vivid and real, and I was just so happy to see her. I stood up and gave her the biggest hug ever, and I could literally smell her perfume and feel the hair on the back of her neck. She looked at me, still smiling, as she took a few steps and grabbed her purse. She pulled out a calendar and pointed at a date, which I couldn't see from where I was sitting, and told me "This is the day, don't forget". I asked her, "Don't forget what Grandma", and she repeated, "Don't Forget!!".

That's when I woke up. The dream was so real I could literally still smell her perfume. I felt like I had just been with her. That whole day I racked my brain trying to figure out what I was forgetting. The entire day I double checked everything! On the way home from work I was telling my husband how I had gone over everything and couldn't figure out it I was forgetting anything. Suddenly, he remembered that it was my sisters birthday!! I had completely forgotten!!

I'm so confused as to what this means. I honestly feel like I was with her, but is that possible? Is there another dimension here on earth for people who die, and can we enter it? Or was this all made up by my brain to ease my grieving in some way? This was the first dream I have had of her since her death. Will I see her again??

(x + 5)2 + (y - 1)2 = 16

(x + 5)2 + (y - 1)2 = 4

(x - 5)2 = (y + 1)2 = 4

(x - 5)2 + (y + 1)2 = 16

The conflict between Science and Religion is really just one question that has been globally left unanswered.

Does CONSCIOUSNESS arise from the PHYSICAL UNIVERSE, or does the PHYSICAL UNIVERSE arise from CONSCIOUSNESS?

If you take the position that the PHYSICAL UNIVERSE arises from CONSCIOUSNESS, then you believe in a GOD or SPIRITUAL SOURCE!

If you take the position that CONSCIOUSNESS arises from the PHYSICAL UNIVERSE, then you believe that everything in the PHYSICAL UNIVERSE is an accident, including your thoughts on the matter right now, and all previous thoughts!

The first position basically says that you have a real awareness and will (mind) capable of deciding your own life. The second does NOT!

If the second position is true, then anything you say here has no REASON for being said.

Any thoughts on this? ;)

is this theory a bit reaching? perhaps grasping at a shooting straw by faith? or entirely reasonable? and does it make creation by God on earth more credible or less. It is perhaps more revealing about the poverty of the speculations related to life oriigns apart from a creator and the ability of man to leap by faith in ways to avoid GOd or an example of scientific ingenuity at its best?
