You say that it is backed up by years of experimentation and studies yet evolution has never been replicated in an experiment and Darwin who first came up with evolution is not even in todays science text books. So why is it again that you choose to believe in the theory of evolution?

Uh, dude - nearly every biology text book contains some mention of Darwin. Also, many, many experiments have been performed demonstrating evolution. I recently read about a very cool one where a particular enzyme was modified, via selection, to target and remove the DNA sequence for HIV. The depth of your ignorance on the subject is quite clear; it's obvious you've never received any scientific training. I'd suggest at least getting a modicum of learning before you open up with critiques on subjects you have no understanding of.

They did teach it in science class when I was in school. At the same time, the school I went to sang Christmas songs. Don't remember anyone complaining or it being an issue until the last few years.

I do not believe in it 100% but I have seen weaker animals die off and only the stronger ones survive. There are parts of the Darwin theory that just don't make since like if the giraffe has a long neck because it needed to reach the leafs on the top of the tree, why didn't it die of starvation before it had the chance to reach the top? Then again the Adam and Eve theory doesn't work because if they were the only ones inbreeding would have killed us off thousands of years ago. So my best guess is it was a mix of the two...

Troll.

Evolution has been replicated in experiments tens of thousands of times using bacteria, insects and other small organisms that reproduce rapidly. It is a widely and universely accepted theory of science. (Except for a small minority of people who are pushing ID or Creationism who don't feel the need to follow the guidelines of The Scientific Method.)

If it is not in your science book, you must live in Kansas. I pity you, your lack of knowledge and your future inability to gain it.

Every argument that I have seen against evolution demonstrates two things:
1) The person attacking evolution has very little background or understanding of what the theory states or how it works
2) The person attacking evolution has has very little background or understanding of science and The Scientific Method.

Having said that, I don't bring a baseball bat to a basketball game, so why would someone bring religion or other arguments when trying to debate a theory of science? The only way to refute science is with more science!

Evolution cant be believed, only known to be right. And have you even heard of the fruit fly experiment? Two populations of flies have been speciated successfully in a lab so far that they actually became 2 separate species, And viruses and bacteria are evolving all the time, like the new avian flu epidemic. If they didnt, pharmacologists wouldnt have create new drugs against them.
If you want to believe in a higher being, suit yourself, I do, but dont disregard facts in your idea of the universe.

its not only been observed with fruitflies in a lab in replicatable experiments, its been observed in nature with moths.
The theory of evolution might be wrong, but this does not mean evolution isn't a fact.
Newton was wrong with his theory of gravity, but gravity still exists.

I think your confusion is that you dont understand the meaning of the word Theory. In Science, theory is an attempt to explain a fact. It is not used in the same way we do in common english to mean something that we are unsure about.

The fact that there is a scientific theory or evolution (actually several) means that science acknowledges evolution as a fact.

The Theory of Evolution is not something you "believe in", like a fairy tale. It is derived from decades worth of biological research, and more recently, a huge amount of genetic research. I worked for a microbiology lab for 5 years and I witnessed evolution everyday. How do you think a group of isolated bacteria can become resistant to a certain antibiotic over time? EVOLUTION!!! Survival of the fittest. All it takes is one genetic abnormality that turns out to be beneficial to one single bacteria. That bacteria prospers and there you have it...a new organism, genetically different from the rest.

To nizam h,
uhm....err.....What?

Darwin is mentioned in every Biology textbook that I own. Go to any microbiology lab and you can witness evolution happening on a daily basis. The real question is, why do I bother answering when I suspect someone really isn't interested in hearing a response that runs counter to their belief.

the bacteria usually loses a part of it. If it was in a different place or back to where it previously was it would die. im sorry guys but macro hasn't been proven. ha ha ha...I know that very funny but im not the one that doesn't use "maybe" "probably" "possibly" and words like that when im describing something I think is true. Before you evolutionist and atheist give me a thumbs down. Pease explain how a woodpecker or the jaw with 2 sets of teath evolved? What do you have to sa about the bible having prophesies, around 300 for just Jesus and about historical events? or Why did all but one apostle die for their belief? (It cant be a lie becuase they were with Jesus. I dont think the terrorist from 9/11 were with muhamad when the angle came to him.)

"evolution has never been replicated in an experiment"

this is false. evolution has been demonstrated in many, many cases of experimentation and observations. I accept evolution because it is a scientific theory, and a good one at that. It is supported by observation, experimentation, direct and indirect evidence.

There are still many unanswered questions relating to evolution, which is why it is still considered a "theory" by in large.

There is, however, no doubt that very strong evidence exists which would prove evolution both possible and probable. Look at sediment layers in rock, or the rings in trees. Within these layers we see evidence of climatic change over centuries and beyond, as well as discover fossilized bones of creatures similar too but never less different then those alive today.
