I just need someone to explain these three problems to me. I'm really stuck on #3, so be sure to give me a clear explanation on that one.

1. In a certain cereal, the ratio of wheat flakes to raisins to almonds is 14:2:1. If (1/4) cup of cereal contains 5 raisins, how many more wheat flakes than almonds are there in 2 cups of cereal?

2. If 3a=2b and 3b=5c, what is the ratio of a to c?

3. If (ab)/c=7=(rs)/t, r=3a, c=2t, and s=kb, what is k?

My son found a catarpiller today and ive looked high and low online to find the species , only found a few pics. Its orange/yellow hairless and has a dark line down its back. Also it seems to leave drops of fluid everywhere in the bug container. I have a picture of it if anyone can help me out.

If you were to put a system od pvc pipes in a full loop and added 2 pumps,would the water you put in turn the first pump wich would turn the seccond pump pumping the water back up the pie and repeat its self. same thing with electricty just with generators and some capcitors.

this is some sort of measurement converter, i think. it's double sided and has a copyright from 1945. the case is rubber and has this embellishment on it: Pickett and Eckel, Inc.(picture below). it was made in Chicago, or copyrighted there, or something. it is in three pieces that slide. well, the middle one slides (see pictures). it also has a clear slider over the whole thing. here are the pics.

Doesn't that mean that the light from the star left 20 years ago? And that the star you are seeing right now, was actually what it was 20 years ago?
If that's true, then half of the stars seen in the sky don't exist anymore!
