I live about 4 miles from the ocean here in mississippi. and we have a raccoon who comes to our house and eats some of our cats food and the slop we put out. The weird thing is he not only comes out at nighttime but he comes out in the day too! plus when hes eating the catfood when my cats are around they'll eat it too right next to him! its weird...and no the raccoon doesnt have rabies. or we would not let him near our cats (srry but my dad would probably shoot him if he had rabies) ..but yea. does anyone else have raccoons that do that or anything.

I live in Naperville, Illinois and I brought two caterpillars from Minnesota. They are kept in a jar, and I feed them milkweed leaves, which I brought from Minniapolis. However, I can't find milkweed anywhere near my house, nor can I find them in stores. The caterpillars only eat milkweed, and look like caterpillars with black, white, and yellow stripes. They have 2 short, black antennae things on their front and back end.

1. Can anyone tell me what species these caterpillars are, or what kind of butterfly they will become (no scientific names please)

2. Can anyone tell me which stores/where I can find milkweed plants or seeds in Naperville, Illinois?

Thank you. You'll be saving two bugs!

What would be the subsequent motion of a cannon if it has been facing the wrong way and the ball fired had been absorbed by some cargo lying about a deck?

Normally, the ball fired with the cannon facing the right way, would make the cannon move in the opposite direction of the ball.

Please advise, thanks.

The title pretty much explains it. I want to be a paleontologist when I grow up, and I figure picking up the hobby of amateur fossil hunting would help maybe. Tips would also be greatly appreciated, thank you!

If Magnetic Field protects us from cosmic ray, Why didn't Magnetic Field Reversal kill all the animals/plants? There are several Magnetic field reversals which reduced Magnetic field to almost zero.
