I really need the answer to this pendulum problem ASAP. Thank you so much!

A pendulum of length L has a bob of mass M at the end of it. The bob is attached to a spring that has a force constant k. When the bob is directly below the pendulum support, the spring is unstressed. Derive an expression for the period of this oscillating system for small-amplitude vibrations (assume there is no displacement from the horizontal). Suppose that M = 2.80 kg and L is such that in the absence of the spring the period is 2.90 s. What is the force constant k if the period of the oscillating system is 1.45 s?

Help?! I don't get this, this is my second sheet and I don't get this one. It's nothing like the 1st one I got. You guys helped me with it earlier today. The problems on this is x2 + 4xy +4y2 =?

The 2 are squared and the c2 in the 1st problem is squared too, can someone help me understand how to find the factors? Like what? I'm not getting this at all. I just need to see it step by step and explain and then I will be able to do the 24 other ones. Thanks you so much!

Just want to know if you get to know the answerers/questioners for what they contribute on Yahoo Answers. I am not asking whether you get to know them personally. For example, apparently in the category Yahoo products/ Yahoo answers they seems to know each other. However, this is not the case in the category Movies.

I have seen these only a couple of times...a GIGANTIC BLACK FLY...when I say 'gigantic', I MEAN IT..we are talking TWO INCHES LONG. I saw it flying around like some kind of black shadow, and thought it was some type of moth, until it landed at the edge of a puddle for a few moments and I managed to get close enough to see it was a FLY, with a head that closely resembled that of a horsefly, with those big hemispherical eyes pressed closely together. It looked like an insect version of Darth Vader! I am in Southern Ontario. Anyone know what these are?
