Skimming across the moons surface in my One-manned biologically sound submarine, I passed a cloud of vapourous gasses that looked so disengienious that they brought me to a halt, I got out and peered down into the crater from where they were coming. Right infront of me there was a gigantic bottom pewriodically emmitting more and more of these noxious fumes. I sidled over to a moon traffic warden who was starting to raise a eye brow at my moon-sub and asked him if he knew what this thing was doing down there?
He first stared at me like my sub still used wheels or something and said "thats the commissioner of bad smells! Double 'M' Double 'S' double'i' double'o'."he said
"Oh" I replyed and drove off before I had to breathe any more of them in.

Ask your friend to guess a number, and then ask her to:

Multiply it by 5; add 6 to the result; multiply the result by 4; add 10 to the result; and then multiply the result by 5.

Now ask your friend to tell you the result. The result should always end with 70 in the least significant positions (e.g.: 370, 570, 1270, 45670, etc...).

Scratch the ‘70’ from the last two digits and subtract one from whatever is left. That would be the number your friend had guessed! For example, if the result is 2370, the number she had guessed is 22 (23 -1), if the result is 470, the number is 3 (4-1), and so on.

Note: if the result does not end with 70, you know that she has made a mistake in her calculations!

1. Why are the two least significant digits are always 7 and 0, respectively.
2. Why can you come up with the guessed number if you subtract 1 from the left over number after scratching 70?

I want two shirts from Limited Too in the clearance section. One shirt costs $9.99 and the other costs $14.99. I have two coupons that can save 25% on my entire purchase. Which is a better deal, use one coupon for both shirts, or use one coupon for one shirt, and another coupon for the other shirt. Please tell me the prices of both deals..

If I was traveling @ the speed of a bullet & shot it from the front of the plane to the back then the bullet would travel at the speed of a bullet relative to inside the plane, however if I stuck my arm outside the plane & fired backwards then surly the bullet would just fall to the ground as the forward speed of the plane would be equal & opposite to the backward speed of the bullet relative to the Earth?

I've known that medical doctors are not allowed to treat their own family members; however, my girlfriend is a med student and comes from a family of doctors (she'll make the fourth generation), and she tells me that not treating one's own family only came about in the last few decades - in the 1950s such was commonplace for physicians. Can anyone confirm and perhaps shed some light on the past?
