person A puts up wallpaper in the bedrooms of a house in 3 hrs. person B can do the same job in 4 hrs, and person C can do the same job in 12 hrs. if all three of them work together, how many minutes will it take them to put up the wallapaper?

I found that a botanist normaly could tell you where a particular plant lives, what it thrives on, and things like that, but that they couldn't tell you how to grow them... well, i enjoy growning a lot, and i was wondering what i should major in if i wanted to develop my herbal.

This is about odd and even functions. How do I know if an equation is odd or even or neither?

Right, if even, f(-x)=f(x), and if odd, f(-x)= -f(x)

What exactly does that mean?

Can you please give the complete solutions to these 2 items and briefly and clearly explain your answer. We have a quiz on Monday and I still don't get this lesson.

1. f(x) = 3x^3+2x
2.f(x) = IxI

Also, another question.

How do you find the domain of I3x-2I and how would it differ from 3x-2?

If the eqn x^4-4x^3+ax^2+bx+1=0 has four positive roots , the ordered pair (a,b) is

(1)(-4,6)

(2)(6,-4)

(3)(-2,-3)

(4)(-3,2)


what does ordered pair means here ?
i dont understand this term in this context.

All Life forms on Earth work basically the same way, usually having eyes ears nose mouth and feet of some sort. Some are an exception, but have at least one of those things.

Could there be some sort of life form in the universe that doesn't Use feet to walk around, or Eyes to see. How could something like this look?! It's difficult to Imagine a Creation that doesn't need those things, how would it know what was around it? but why would everything have to be like us? there has got to be something out of the Ordinary, Maybe it floats off of a chemical reaction that forms under it self and it's repelled by some weird gasses in the atmosphere or air on the planet, who knows!
What do you think something could be like? Explain how it could look or move or anything?

I have a Brand new Tasco(40-114675) Telescope But... The directions suck. This is what i am stuck on-
1.Insert Diagonal into the focus tube???
2.Insert eyespeice into diagonal???
and
3.Insert Barlow into the focus tube Insert eyes peice into open end of barlow and secure???
