Not sure sure if the packaging is at fault here so much these days. There are enough regulations to prevent hazardous substances being used in food wrappings. Tests have to be carried out on all packaging which is in contact with food on the migration of chemicals. The FDA (CFR) and European Union are very strict in what can be added and a list of substances that are allowed and their purity can be found in these documents. These are being improved all of the time as we learn more.

There are studies regrding microwaving in the packaging that causes harmful vapors and food s can absorb them.

It does seem like all the additives that are in foods now days that you can not avoid do effect our health. They seem to in crease the allergy factor.

Yes there was a report years ago that cling film caused harm but nobody seemed to pay any attention.

People are living longer and healthier then in anytime in history. Why are all the advances causing this constantly being attacked?

you might be right about that...at one time things used to be wrapped in grease proof paper ...not plastic....
