I'm trying to integrate the expression:

∫ -sin ²(t) / cos(t) dt

However, no matter how hard I bang my head against this problem, I just can't seem to solve it. I know the answer, which is -sec(t) + cos(t) (in this case, forget the C term), but I haven't a clue how to get there.

I need to extract an expression for one of the constants 'k' or 'c' in terms of 'X1', 'Y1', 'X2', and 'Y2', then the other constant should follow easily.

Equations are:

Y1 = k * ln(X1 + c) and Y2 = k * ln (X2 + c)

I got as far as this then got stuck:

e^(Y1/k) - e^(Y2/k) = X1 - X2

Can anyone help......please.

We are trying to purify BaSO4 by dissolving it in an Na5DTPA solution and then re-precipitating it out, but we can't seem to get past the first step of dissolving the BaSO4! We are using a 0.05M DTPA solution made up with 1M NaOH which we got from a journal article. We've tried grounding the BaSO4 into fine powder, heating, ultrasonicating but nothing works. Any ideas?

I need to find a map with just the outline of landmass. No boundaries, no names. It has to be rectangular so that America and Australia doesn't look like it's curved. It has to fit on an 8 x 11 piece of paper. No lines of the Equator or Prime Meridian on it either or those latitude or longitude lines too.

is such a patent possible in which only i have the right to create a perpetual motion machine which works on principles of magnetic attraction/repletion...i mean the design dosent matter...the fact is no one else can make a perpectual motion machine based on magnetism and use it.
...its just an example

Now if someone else make another design for this machine which does the same thing and works on principles of magnetism...but the design is different over all than mine...he will not allowed the patent, or any one will not be allowed to use this design he has made cause I have a patent filed.
Is this sorta situation possible?...or is there such sora patent?
