Is it really possible to build a building with a panic button, push it the building sends out a count down for evac. until the timer runs out the building blows up?

So you don't want anyone to capture the important info. or the building itself

Yes, it is possible since that button would be connected to a computer which starts a program for the self-destruction that you have envisaged. However, you would need enough security protocols to prevent unauthorised and unintended pushing of that button. And yes, once pushed it should be irreversible if it really has to meet the design needs and so, there should not be any cancel or abort circuit.

yes, you would just have to place explosive charges throughout the house and then sheild them from accidental explosion then wire them up to one time delay fuse and hook that up to an ignition board (like one used in setting off fireworks or mining) and just hook that up to a clock with an audible countdown. or you could hook up the fuse to a simple computer, either way, if you really wanted to you could

i think that doing so would void any insurance you had on the building
