I am in the process of being seen for Recurrent Miscarriage Clinic. I got a letter saying that I needed a repeat blood test.
So I went today to do it, and asked what it was for. I was told Protein C ... I will be able to ask more questions at my appt with the consultant in March, but I was wondering if anyone know what protein C would be testing for?

Im more than likely getting the nerves you have from doing a repeat test...

Any info would be necessary...

I watched the STS 121 flight back in July 2006 when Lisa N. and her crew launched. It was actually the 4th of July. Ironically, it's the only mission I've seen to date, from beginning to end through NASA TV. This lady stood out the most out of everybody when I saw the interviews, even when it was with the entire crew, because she was ALWAYS smiling. I thought there was something a little strange about it... but not in a negative way. Just stort of odd. Maybe it's the psychologist in me, but too much sadness or happiness isn't always a good thing. Looking at her before and after pics I have to say I think that this lady is bipolar. I can't say I'm too surprised about the situation either. Anyone else NOT surprised?? By the way, I think marital affairs among the astronauts is NOTHING NEW. They are after all, HUMAN.

In a space research project two schemes of launchin a space probe out of the solar system are discussed: i) To lauch a probe with a velocity lare enough to escape from the solar system directly. ii)The probe is to approach one of the outer planets and with its help change its direction of motion and reach teh velocity necessary to escape from the solar system. Assume that the probe moves under the gravitational field of the sun only or the planets depending on whichever field is stronger at that point. Determine the minimum velocity and its direction relative to the earth's motion that should be given to the probe on launching according to the scheme i). [Data - velocity of earth round the sun is 30 km/s]

Two crickets, Chirpy and Milada, jump from the top of a vertical cliff. Chirpy jumps horizontally and reaches the ground in a time of 2.70 s . Milada jumps with an initial velocity of 81.0 cm/s at an angle of 40.0 degrees above the horizontal.

How far from the base of the cliff will Milada hit the ground?
Take the free fall acceleration to be g = 9.80 m/s^2 .

A tennis ball rolls off the edge of a tabletop of height 0.810 m above the floor and strikes the floor at a point a horizontal distance 1.70 m from the edge of the table. You can ignore air resistance.

Time of flight is: 0.407 s

Magnitude of initial velocity is: 4.18 m/s

Find the magnitude of the velocity of the ball just before it strikes the floor.
Take the free fall acceleration to be g = 9.80 m/s^2 .

Find the direction of the velocity of the ball just before it strikes the floor.
Express your answer as an angle measured from below the horizontal.
