Have you ever seen other pictures like this, where the moon appears so huge in the sky? Are these types of pictures real?

If so, on what places of the Earth does this happen? I live in Hawaii, and have never seen the moon appear this big. When a full moon is near the horizon, it can look pretty big, but nothing like the ones in those pics.

Can someone explain why this happens in some areas? Or, is this all some optical illusion?

I am assuming it is some kind of analgesic, but have had no luck finding exactly what it is. I had 3 bottles of various meds before my hysterectomy for cancer, 2 broke. I put all pills together in the last intact bottle, and there are 3 of these pills in there...I have no idea what they are now, I have taken so may things since. Any info would be wonderful!
