The only effect Astrology has is to be damaging to society. It is validated somewhat by horoscopes appearing in newspapers, and it promotes non-critical thinking which is unhealthy for an intelligent society.

Astrology is a bunch of bunk.Unfortunately some cultures really believe in it and base their lives and choose marriage partners based on it. Very few realize that the astrology is off by one month as far as the signs go and that sun also goes through Capricorn which they choose to ignore because that would mean 13 signs and that was thought unlucky in the dark ages. Some astrologers think the planets have an influence on what happens, others think the positions of the planets are a code that describes the future. Both are total rubbish!
