they are connected in series across a potential difference of 120 VAC. assuming what you have learned about DC circuits applies, and that the operating resistances of the bulbs are not affected by the series connection, calculate: (a) the power produced in each bulb, and (b) the total power porduced in the series circuit.

Hemophilia is a sex-linked disorder carried on the X chromosome. A woman who is a carrier of hemophilia has the genotype X^H X^h also referred to as heterozygous for the trait. A man who has hemophilia is represented as X^h Y. A woman who is heterozygous for hemophilia marries a normal man. What will be the possible phenotypes of their children? How likely is it that their son will inherit the disease?

I got from a Punnett Square that they will all have hemophilia but I am not sure...I think I messed up somehow.

A 0.500-kg glider, attached to the end of an ideal spring with force constant , undergoes simple harmonic motion with an amplitude 0.040 m.

Compute the speed of the glider when it is at -0.015m.

Compute the acceleration of the glider at -0.015m.

Not really sure how to approach this one! Can anyone help me?

Looking at it from a psychological point of view, are ghosts real or not? I myself believe in ghosts, but I'm very sceptical when I hear people talk about ghost sightings. They see ghosts everywhere, but to me it sounds like they're all letting their imagination run free.
Most ghosts are sighted in old buildings. Why there? Logically speaking ghosts would more likely haunt new buildings, where the building of the foundations of those buildings have disturbed them? Or rather because the new building took away their old dwelling?
I speak from personal experience, having lived in a 3 year old housing estate where someone or something plagued my being there, down to a talking lift that started to say strange things, and my now ex-boyfriend heard and experienced the same things.

But those things happen only scarsely. So again, my question is; ghosts, are they real or not? And if they're not, explain why they can't be. If they are, explain why so.
