I push produce for a living for now, and the other day I was displaying some beautiful bulbs of garlic. Every food fanatic knows that garlic is a staple in cooking, but vampires must have it really rough, not being able to use aromatics like this in their cooking. I was wondering what the actual chemical compound in garlic repels vampire?

I remember an ice storm that shut the city completely down. Ice was 1-2 inches thick all over everything. Anything tall was having trouble standing. Tree limbs that were normally out of reach were touching the ground. Power lines sagged low enough that you could reach them from the ground. Vehicles couldn't get around. And the best part.......no school for like 2 weeks.

Axiom is a assumption accepted as ture without proof.

Why do we accept axioms in math? Shouldn't it be proven first before accepting it.

If our horizon on earth is the line where we can't see any further as the curve of the earth drops away.. were you to stand on a globe the size of the sun (please ignore all talk of you would burn alive etc) what would the horizon look like? Would it be higher in the sky or would it be so high it would reduce the sky to just a tiny sliver and you would feel like you were in a hole. I'm talking no mountains just flat land or sea. This question has been bothering me all week! Thanks
