no real difference, you might notice the motor run slightly after the power it shut off. the only real reason to put a cap on a motor would be to help with variant signals.

Capacitors are used to help with the power spike needed to get a motor turning initially by storing a charge. If it's wired in parallel, you are actually defeating it's purpose and using extra energy for no reason.

I expect Radio Shack would have some, batteries too. You could call the local store to make sure they have what you want. For cheaper, if you can find a cell phone to recycle (free), take it apart and there should be a tiny motor inside to make it vibrate. Many children's toys may also have a small motor inside.

Not much will happen. You'll just charge the capacitor and the motor will run like always.
