The figure (http://img442.imageshack.us/img442/1415/chapter5testnumber2ys9.png) shows a triangle in the coordinate plane along with a smaller triangle formed by joining the midpoints of the sides of the larger triangle. How could you use a series of transformations of triangle ABC to produce triangle DEF? Write a rule (in the form P(x,y)--->P'(?,?) ) for each transformation in your series that shows how the coordinates of the transformed figure are obtained. Use your rules to find the coordinates of each vertex of the triangle after each transformation. Lastly, write a rule that would transform ABC into DEF by just one transformation.

what do I have to do to get and answer to a question similar to this: (5a^3+4b^2) I can't seem to do algebraic equations and it would help me a lot if I could check those kinds of answers on tests.

By the way if anyone is confused (^2) means squared. Of course if you're advising me about my calculator you'd probably already know that, but just so I don't leave any stone unturned. Thanks for your help, you've no idea how much it will help me!

What would be necessary to cause ammonia to react with hydrogen peroxide to produce nitrous oxide and hydrogen?
4(NH3)+(H2O2)=2(N2O)+7(H2)
Is there some sort of catylyst, or a specific temperature, or a certain pressure or level of purity that needs to be attained for this reaction to take place? If so, please respond. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I've seen waaay too many people in here criticizing it, they keep saying that by common sense, oil left on sand won't evolve into a cell phone. Something like that.

The food we eat provides the building blocks (e.g. amino acids and simple sugars) for making organic molecules and provides the energy for generating ATP. Humans would therefore be classified as:

A) Heterotrophs

B) Photoautotrophs

C) Chemoautotrophs

D) Photoheterotrophs

Now, I know it's not B) nor D) because humans do not use light to obtain energy, it's either A) or C) but which one?

Evolution is not solidly demonstrated. "Evolution is just a theory," Darwin's critics point out, as if "theory" meant lack of knowledge, some kind of guess. Scientists, however, use the word theory in a very different sense than the general public does. Theories are the solid ground of science--that about which we are most certain. Few of us doubt the theory of gravity because it is "just a theory"

i need help writing that in my own words, can someone please help me out! Thanks

I'm taking Chemistry Honors and Algebra 2 Honors and I have an A in both classes so far, but my friends who are already in Physics Honors and/or Pre-Calc. Honors say that one or the other (but not both) is hard. I'm scared of getting bad grades in these courses next year (my senior year). Which class is harder so that I can prepare during the summer?
