There are a lot of hoax however if the question is aimed at the larger issue of 'have there ever been UFOs that did not have a terrestrial explanation or origin?' the answer is almost certainly yes. The world is neither ready for nor able to deal with full disclosure on this so it's probably better that governments control that information and keep it out of the main stream media.

Most of the evidence has been established as fakery, however there are a few items that can't be totally discounted, including Ezikel in the Bible who saw a wheel in the middle of the sky.

Everytime I see a UFO I wonder the same thing. It doesn't happen very often, though.
