A truck enters a hwy driving 60mph. A car enters the hwy at the same place 12 minutes later and drives 72mph in the same direction. How long will it take the car to pass the truck? The answer is 60 minutes from what the tutorial explains. but I can't even grasp the concept from tutorial. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is a practice question for a test. So no credit I just need help understanding how to figure it out.

I generally understand my Trig problems, but there is one I'm confused on.

The directions: "Find the exact solution to the equation for the interval 0 less than/equal to x less than 2 pie.

The problem: 2cosx^2 = 1

This is what I have gotten the equation to: cosx = the square root of 1/2.

I have to match up the square root of 1/2 to radians (In Pie) but there isn't a square root of 1/2...

So my question is, how do I get rid of the square root sign completely?
