Let a=b.
Then a^2=ab
a^2 - b^2 = ab - b
(a+b)(a-b)=b(a-b)
a+b=b
Since a=b
then 2b=b
2=1 ???
Where's the mistake???

Fact - a coke can's wall is 0.004" (0.1mm) thick

How would you be able to machine the coke can's wall so that the thickness is equal to 0.002" (0.05mm) thick?

Remember that the rpm can affect the way the can behaves in the lathe. It might expand due to centrifugal forces.

Remember this coke can has no dings, dints and not warped. The can maybe empty or full, you decide. In other words its a perfectly perfect coke can. (or pepsi or any drinking can).

A 4.00 x 10^2-g glass coffee cup is at room temperature, 20.0ºC. It is then plunged into hot dishwater, 80.0ºC. If the temperature of the cup reaches that of the dishwater, how much heat does the cup absorb? Assume the mass of the dishwater is large enough so its temperature doesn't change appreciably.

In Darwin's time there was a relative lack of evidence supporting his theory, but he still found a considerable amount in fields like biogeography, embryology, and paleontology. Now, advances in science have added new evidence in those fields, as well genetics, microbiology, immunology, and a host of others.

Evolutionary principles have lead to better treatments for diseases such as leukemia and AIDS, and speciation has been witnessed in scientific experiments involving short-generation species such as fruit flies. Also, fossils of "transitional species" such as tiktaalik continue to emerge as predicted.

Thus far, opponents to evolution have focused vainly on undermining the research without providing a reasonable alternative.

So why is it that 51% of Americans don't accept evolution? If we're really still in such a Dark Age-mentality, why don't we also still believe that the world is flat, that the sun revolves around it, and that literate women should be burned at the stake?
