Use these facts to solve the problem: the radius of the Earth is 3960 miles and one mile equals 5280 feet.
Here's the question:
A person who is six feet tall stands on the beach in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and looks out onto the Atlantic Ocean. Suddenly, a ship appears on the horizon. How far is the ship from shore?

Can anybody help me solve this? I'm having trouble!

hi, in a bond like H2O2 or SOs, H, or S can only share 2 electrons. But the other elemnt, such as the two oxygens need 4 electrons. the same with O2, it needs 4 electrons but S can only give 2, what would be the Lewis Dot structure and how would they form a bond? With a single, douple or triple bond?
